April is a serial entrepreneur and an accomplished senior-level executive with over 29 years’ experience and is currently a December 2023 MBA candidate for SMU Cox’s School of Business. Prior to her current roles, Ms. Kooiman was the founder and CEO of Praxis Healthcare Solutions, a leading service solution that allowed healthcare organizations to overcome the ever-changing reimbursement challenges that exist within the revenue cycle. After growing the company to $18 million in revenue within five years since inception, the company was acquired in July 2020 by Cloudmed, a R1 Company. After the acquisition, April served on their executive team and as a SME until November 2022. Prior to founding Praxis Healthcare Solutions, Ms. Kooiman co-founded Trilogi, Inc., another national healthcare receivables management company, where she served as President prior to the acquisition by Recondo Technologies in 2012.
